We are looking for an Ultrasound Technician to join our team in a busy medical office. Ultrasound Techs are responsible for creating a positive experience with patients while setting up and operating ultrasonic equipment for their examination. Candidates must be able to perform general, vascular, OB, breast, pelvic, and extremity ultrasounds with minimum to no supervision. They are expected to assist the practice in delivering the highest level of operation and clinical standards. Technicians must demonstrate the ability to exercise initiative, establish priorities, and coordinate work activities. This is a great opportunity for professionals with excellent customer service and computer skills.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

•   Operating sonography equipment and providing excellent images to physicians

•   Preparing patients for sonography procedures

•   Adjusting controls to obtain correct exposure, in accordance with departmental regulations

•   Making exposures for each film, using proper film and identification for each patient

•   Maintaining records and statistics of ultrasound examinations
•   Maintaining inventory and orders supplies as required
•   Maintaining equipment in proper working order, making any adjustments, and requesting repair services as required
•   Working with physicians to ensure efforts are coordinated and high quality patient care is provided
•   Performing related work as needed

Minimum of one year experience preferred

Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARDMS

Current BLS certification

EMR experience is a plus
